Job Description :
A non-profit organization with various social missions is seeking an executive director who can help propel this multi-source funded agency into its next phase of growth, development, and service. Ideal candidate will be a visionary, with strengths in leading a strong, dedicated team of program directors. 

Serving as chief administrative professional, this position encompasses the following: organizational management; contract compliance; personnel management; oversight of all fiscal operations;  executing all policies and programs established by the board of directors; communicating the programs and priorities of the organization through the media, networks, public events, and any other community relations activities deemed necessary; relaying issues, accomplishments, and developmental activities of the organization's staff to the board; assuming responsibility, with supervisory delegation, for all personnel actions, from recruitment to discipline, in accordance with the established personnel policies put forth by the board; developing, refining, and enforcing all organizational systems, policies, and ethical values; fundraising; public promotion and awareness; coordinating with local, state, and federal agencies and officers; and program and staff development; and performing other duties as assigned by the board of directors.

 

This is a full-time, direct-hire opening with a schedule that will be determined by need, but will certainly include at least 40 hours per week. Pay is extremely competitive, and this organization offers employees a very generous, comprehensive benefits package.
Required Qualifications :
Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree (Master's in Public Administration or similar field preferred). Five to eight years of experience in non-profit management. Willingness to relocate to the area, if not already a permanent resident. Candidate must have the ability to work effectively in a political arena at all levels, and bring together diverse populations and interests. Must have enthusiasm, passion, and commitment to the organization's missions. 



Preferred experience: Establishing and maintaining community relationships, strategic planning, budget management, fundraising, supervising of senior managers, relating to government officials, demonstrated success in program development and management, and familiarity with community- based programs.
