Job Description :
Counselor/Case manager needed for a human service organization located in Gallipolis, OH. Responsibilities include completing assigned clinical work such as:  providing assessment, individual and group counseling, case management and crisis intervention; utilizing Protective Health Information (PHI) regarding the past, present, and future agency population and clients; arranging for, assisting in, and providing direct and indirect counseling and case management services; assessing an individual’s need for clinical services; demonstrating treatment planning, crisis intervention, and group projects and other activities; participating in meetings regarding the client’s welfare; and carrying out other duties that are deemed necessary and appropriate to the general practice of the agency and that are assigned by the Executive Director and/or the Clinical Supervisor.

 



This is a full-time, direct-hire position, hiring ASAP. The schedule will likely be Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with one hour off for lunch. The pay is commensurate with qualifications, and with proper notice, paid vacation is offered one week per year after being with the company for six months.


Required Qualifications :
 

Must be licensed or certified to practice in the state of Ohio in professional counseling. Must possess and demonstrate effective communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and regularly exercise discretion and independent judgement in significant matters. Must have excellent verbal and written skills and computer proficiency. Must be able to complete documentation accurately and timely. Must be able to effectively manage multiple tasks concurrently. Must have a valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and a good driving record. Must have demonstrate extensive experience in the treatment and care of men who have substance use disorders diagnosis. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds. 






Must be able to pass a BCI and/or FBI check.


 


Minimum qualifications include currently possessing CDCA licensure. Licensed social worker preferred.
